Clinical Director of SEEDS Wilderness Therapy

SEEDS is pleased to welcome Neil Binette to the team as the program’s Clinical Director. Neil brings a wealth of education and experience to the team, and will be instrumental in launching our first field sessions in the spring of 2020.

Neil is a PhD candidate in Marriage and Family Therapy at Antioch University, New England. He is currently writing a dissertation focused on family inclusion in wilderness therapy. He received his Masters in Counseling from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in 2004, and his Bachelor of Science in Family Studies from the University of New Hampshire in 1997.

Neil has served as the clinical director for a women’s health and pregnancy help center, and served on the board of directors for a soup kitchen and food pantry. He has also been the chair of the board of directors of a men’s sober living house, and the director of social services for an adoption agency.

Neil has extensive experience working with teens and young adults and their families. He has worked in residential therapeutic environments, as well as a therapeutic boarding school and a wilderness therapy program. He is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and has experience owning and operating his own private practice, providing couples and family therapy. In addition, Neil has experience with orphan advocacy and adoption counseling.
